How to Lighten & Get Rid of Stretch Marks Naturally

Stretch marks don’t only occur on pregnant woman, the visible off color hue on the skin may occur for different reasons such as: sudden gain or loss in weight, rapid growth, stress, and physical changes. Let’s face it, stretch marks tend to make both the female and male species slightly self-conscious and uncomfortable with appearance; preventing those from wearing certain attire. However, there are a few simple and natural ways to get rid of them.

  1. Castor Oil
    Castor oil is used to treat varies skin conditions such as: wrinkes, age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines, acne, acne scares and may also be used to get rid of stretch marks.

    1.) Apply castor oil on the stretch marks and gently massage the skin for five to ten minutes.
    2.) Wrap the area with a thin cotton cloth. Using a hot cloth or heating pad place on top of the cotton cloth and let it rest for at least a half hour.
    3.) Repeat this process daily for a at least a month to have noticeable results.

  2. Olive Oil
    Since olive oil is a natural moisturizer there is no need to rinse off after application. Simply coat the stretch marks with olive oil (recommended to heat up the oil just a bit to improve blood circulation). Do this daily.
  3. Coconut Oil
    Just like olive oil, it is a natural moisturizer and there is no need to rinse off after application. Coat the stretch marks with coconut oil daily.


  1. Potato Juice
    1.) Cut a potato into thick slices and begin to rub the stretch marks making sure the startch from the potato rubs off on them.
    2.) Let the potato juice airdry then rinse off with lukewarm water.
  2. Lemon Juice
    Lemon juice helps reduce all types of skin blemishes. Cut a slice of lemon and rub on the stretch marks and let the juice sit for ten minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

Egg Whites

Eggs are a rich source in proteins and can be used to help with acne, hair growth and also stretch marks. However, for stretch marks you’re going to want to only use the egg whites for the egg whites are what has the amino acids and proteins.

  1. Whisk egg whites with a fork, clean the affected area with water and than apply a thick layer of egg whites with a soft brush.
  2. Allow it to dry completely and then rinse the area with cold water.
  3. Apply olive oil as a moistruzier and try to repeat daily for at least two weeks for noticeable results.


Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is used for many skin and hair conditions due to its healing and soothing properties. Try rubbing the Aloe Vera gel directly onto the stretch marks leaving it on for fifteen minutes and then rinsing off.


Sugar is nature’s natural exfoliator and one of the best ways to get rid of stretch marks. Simply mix a tsp of raw sugar with some almond oil and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix the ingredients well and gently rub on the stretch marks before showering everyday for a month.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is very beneficial to help lighten and get rid of stretch marks and one of the best parts about it is it’s a natural moisturizer. Apply cocoa butter at least twice a day everyday for a few months.

Coffee is not only delicious when prepared properly but also has many skincare beneficial properties and stimulates blood flow. Create a coffee scrub you may apply daily to help fade stretch marks.

Mix ground coffee with olive oil and honey; the goal is to create a paste that is able to stay on your skin for a period of time. Gently rub the area where the stretch marks are presented for five minutes. After the five minutes are up let it sit for twenty minutes and then remove with a warm washcloth. .


Note: Due keep in mind stretch marks are do not clear up quickly and the minimum amount of time to see visible results are usually around a month or two.
