Winged Eyeliner Tutorial With Liquid & Pencil Eyeliner

Trying to create the perfect winged eyeliner is a tad bit tricky but it only takes practice. I’ve been doing winged eyeliner since the 8th grade. There’s many tricks into creating a winged eyeliner such as using tape (I highly do not recommend this), spoons and business cards.

However, there’s only two simple steps to achieve a wing with liquid and pencil eyeliner.

Liquid Eyeliner

  1. Starting in the inner eye, make small strokes outwards with the liquid eyeliner.
  2.  Gentle draw the liquid eyeliner up to create a wing

Tip: Use the bottom waterline as a guide to direct you upwards.

Pencil Eyeliner

  1. Starting with your inner eye, make small brushstrokes towards the outer edge of your eye.
  2. Keep the pencil pointed upward, brushing slightly upward to create a wing.

Tip: Make sure the pencil eyeliner is sharp at all times.
