Turmeric Face & Body Mask

Turmeric is what gives mustard it’s yellow color. Turmeric is added to many dishes without actually changing the flavor. So why is it used in almost every Indian dish? Well, to answer that question; turmeric is one of the most powerful healing spices. It’s rich in antioxidants and atiinflammitory properties. Using the supplement is known to fight off cancer cells.

Due to it’s powerful antioxidants Indian women have used it in their beauty regimes for beautiful, radiant skin. Turmeric is known as a skin exfoliate and improves the skin’s texture. It helps with acne, dry skin, psoriasis and eczema. It’s also used to even out the skin tone and diminish wrinkles.

  1. Mix either 2 tablespoons of flour, rice flour or ground oats with 1 teaspoon turmeric.
  2. 3 Tablespoons milk and/or yogurt to fight acne.
  3. A few drops of honey
  4. A little bit of lemon juice
  5. A tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  6. A pinch of salt
  7. A drop of ACV (apple cider vinegar)
  8. Mix all the ingredients together
  9. Apply a very thin layer all over your face and/or body
  10. Rinse off after 15 minutes

Or

  1. Mix either 2 tablespoons of flour, rice flour or ground oats with 1 teaspoon turmeric.
  2. 3 Tablespoons of milk and/or yogurt to fight of acne
  3. A few drops of honey

 

If you are worried about staining- don’t! Turmeric doesn’t stain. However, if it does stain it is easily removed with soap and water (if it stained on your body) and facial cleanser.
