8 Tips & Tricks to Make Your Eyelashes POP!

Sometimes we all face a little love-hate relationship with mascara expensive brand or not. Sure, there’s always a better formula or a better wand but lets face reality here. There’s been that one time you wish you’d get just a bit more volume or more lengthening.

1. Baby Powder

Sprinkle eyelashes with baby powder in between coats of mascara for extra fullness. Use a clean mascara wand or an eyebrow spoolie brush to apply baby powder to the lashes. Make sure you apply another coat of mascara when you apply to blend the baby powder. You can also do the same trick with a cotton ball.

2. Brush Tilting

Try tilting your brush in different angles for different effects. For lengthening use a vertical angle; for thickness use a horizontal angle.

3. The Warm Water Trick

Place dry mascara in a cup of warm water to remove dried mascara clumps off the wand. For more tricks on dry mascara check out the post “How To Rescue Dry Mascara.”

4. Heated Curls

Warm up your eyelash curler with a blow dryer or a lighter, wait a couple of seconds before curling your lashes so you do not burn them. This helps the curl stay in place and last all day.

5. Comb Your Lashes!

Use a lash comb before you apply your mascara. It separates the lashes preventing clumping. Separating each lash makes them look fuller.

6. Regular Then Waterproof

Start off using regular mascara as usual and top it off with a coat or two of waterproof mascara. This helps your mascara from running and also appear fuller.

7. Teamwork!

Curl your lashes and apply mascara at the same time for great results. This can be tricky to master but with a bit of practice you’ll see the outcome and the results are worth it!

8. Root to Tip

Begin curling your lashes from the roots to the tips. This is a simple trick that I always do for it holds the curl and make the lashes fuller with more volume.
