It’s important to choose the best leave-in conditioner for your hair type without it weighing down. A good leave-in conditioner can help tame frizz, keep hair soft and smooth, and detangle hair strands.
Unlike the conditioner you use in the shower; these hair care products are applied after on damp or dry hair. Leave-in conditioner provides moisture, conditions, protects your hair while using heat, refreshes hair, assists styles, and works wonders for detangling.
Crème of Nature with Argan Oil From Morocco Strength & Shine Leave-in Conditioner
“This unique two-phase formula combines Argan Oil liquid shine and a strengthening protein complex that improves hair strength, protects against damage and adds Exotic Shine and moisture.”
Crème of Nature’s Argan Oil leave-in conditioner has been all the rave late 2015 into 2016 and I understand why. This conditioner has everything you need to help those beautiful locks maintain shine and strength. It has a lovely sweet smell that’s not too strong.
From my experience with this leave-in conditioner it makes it much easier to detangle hair. Also, a while ago I’ve been dealing with damaged hair and this product helped my hair bounce back into life! It strengthens, protects from heat styling tools, protects from damage, and adds shine! I’ve noticed it adds a bit more volume, too. This conditioner is the holy grail of all leave-in conditioners. It adds moisture and shine with argan oil and protects your hair with proteins from heat while styling.
To use this product you must shake the bottle well to mix the two part formulas together. Spray throughout damp or dry hair as needed. Do not spray too closely to your hair for it will get very greasy and weigh your hair down.
I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a pick me up. Works for all hair types thick or thin.

African Pride Olive Miracle works wonders for African hair, mixed hair and for natural curly hair. This conditioner; stops breakage, split ends, dryness, repairs dry, damaged hair, featherlight, moisturizing formula.
African Pride Olive Miracle smells delightful! I have natural wavy/curly hair and sometimes when I need a little pick my up I use African Pride Olive Miracle and it helps my hair maintain their waves/curls until the next wash. I color my hair and this leave-in works well to rejuvenate it for when it starts to get dull.
To use this product on dry hair, use it as a daily treatment. Work into hair from roots to ends and leave it in. Do not rinse out and style as usual.
To use this product on wet hair, use it after shampooing. Let it sit for a while and cotton t-shirt dry your hair. Do not towel dry your hair and use a cotton t-shirt as an alternative to prevent frizz.
Instead of a spray it’s a crème.
Olive oil is great for skin and hair and Olive Miracle is loaded with olive oil! (And coconut oil.)
I would recommend this product to anyone who has African, mixed, Latino or colored hair.
ion Moisture Solutions Miracle Leave-in Conditioner
“Unlock the professional secret to beautiful hair. Great for all types of hair- normal or dry, curly or straight, damaged or healthy, and even chemically or colored-treated hair.”
ion Moisture Solutions Miracle Leave-in Conditioner has intense hydration and 100% vegan and paraben free.
From my experience with this leave-in conditioner I began to use it in the 8th grade. It has a lovely vanilla smell. However, this conditioner is great but for me it weighs it down. It’s great to tame frizz and detangle hair other than that I tend to not reach for it that often, just once in a while if I feel like I have very dry hair. The product has a very thick consistency creating a hassle to spray and feels heavy.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has very dry, full hair.
Mane ‘n Tail Hair Strengthener Daily Leave-in Conditioning Treatment
“Now you can discover the secret behind luxuriously silky, healthy hair. Hair Strengthener is an advanced, daily leave-in conditioning treatment that provides essential protection to help achieve longer, stronger healthier looking hair.”
If you love the original Mane ‘n Tail shampoo and conditioner you’ll love their leave-in conditioner.
Mane n’ Tale is alcohol free and provides silky, smooth hair up until the next wash. It comes in a smaller bottle compared to the other three leave-in conditioners I have reviewed in this post. It has a sweet candy smell and is very lightweight. This conditioner repairs damaged hair and provides essential protection to help prevent future breakage and split ends. It also acts as a heat protective spray for when heat styling tools are being used.
I would recommend this product to anyone who loves the Mane ‘n Tail shampoo and conditioner for it is useful to use the 3 items together to achieve wonderful results. Also for any and every hair type.
5 Tips For Using Leave-in Conditioner
- Spray or Crème?
Your hairtype itself will help you determine what kind of conditioner you should use. If you have fine hair use a spray. If you have thick hair use a crème.
- Different Types
There are many different types of leave-in condtioners to choose from; volumizing, heat protective, soften curls, for color hair or fragile hair. Pick the one that’s best suited for you.
- Follow the Routine!
It’s important to keep a normal shampoo and conditioner routine. You don’t want to put leave-in on unclean hair.
- Root to Tips
Apply leave-in conditioner starting at the roots to the tips! Focus more product on the tips rather than the roots for if you apply too much it will end up being greasy.
- Concentrate on the Damage
Just like you want to focus on the tips of your hair- focus on the damage.
