It’s spring season meaning it’s prom season and everyone is dying to look their very best for that special day. However, flawless skin doesn’t just happen over night so it’s recommended to prep your skin at least a week ahead of time. Not sure why or exactly how? No problem. Here’s how to get that picture perfect skin for prom.
Try your best to pamper your skin every night. When you’re sleeping your body is repairing itself especially your skin. Night time is the time you want to break out your special skin care products.
Day 1: Tame Your Acne!
Breaking out from stress? Use eye drops to relieve acne redness. It contains anti-inflammatory agents and soothes the blood vessels. Say goodbye to redness!
Also, banana peels help get rid of acne. All you have to do is cut a small slice of banana peel and place it over the problem area. Leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and it should slowly begin to fade away. Or you can just dab a drop of honey and leave it on for the same amount of time as well.

Day 2 + 3: Brightening Your Skin
Days 2 and 3 should be used for brightening your skin. There are many ways to do so but a simple trick is to use a lemon scrub. Take half a lemon, dip it into some sugar and begin to exfoliate your skin. Lemon helps brighten your complexation while the sugar helps exfoliate any dead skin cells on your face. (Try your best to do this at night or avoid direct sunlight right after doing this.) Once you’re done, rinse everything down and your face should feel fresh and smooth.
If you have oily skin, don’t worry about it just use a peeling mask or egg whites! You can check out some of the tips I have for dry and oily skin here. Using a peeling mask helps draw out any impurities. Your skin will thank you!
Also, don’t forget to moisturize everyday twice a day.
Day 4 + 5: Whiten Your Smile!
Day 4 and 5 are good for whitening your smile. You don’t want to do any last minute things to whiten your teeth. It will not turn out the way you expect. Your teeth are also very delicate; so be careful and try your best to whiten them by doing it slowly. A simple way to brighten your smile is by brushing your teeth with a mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
Day 6: Remove Unwanted Hair
Pretty self explanatory remove all unwanted hair necessary from your body and be sure not to do this the day of the event for your skin needs time to heal from the redness.
These daily tips should be apart of a daily routine and not just for that big event. It is important to take care of your skin on a regular basis.
